Use That DSP: 15-Minute Pretty Stack of Cards

Confession time: I hoard DSP. Yup, it's true - I've got a file folder organizer crate FULL of wonderful, beautifully coordinated DSP stacks. Today I'm going to show you an easy layout to help you use those gorgeous papers and quickly stamp-a-stack of cards.

Now really...can you get any simpler than that? I used my Wood Textures DSP and combined it with the absolutely amazing Heartfelt Blooms FREE stamp set that you can get from the Sale-A-Bration flyer.

I thought that bunch of flowers looked stunning in Night of Navy...which was perfect because I just happen to have a spool of that pretty Corduroy Ribbon (in Night of Navy) from the Occasions Catalog. That Wood Textures DSP just pops against that regal Night of Navy color. The strip goes the entire width of the card (5 1/2 inches) and is 3 3/4 inches tall - which leaves you about 1/4 inch of Night of Navy framing on the top and bottom.

I used a few other papers from my Woodgrain stack too:

This card was so easy. I think I stamped these 5 in about 15 minutes - including my stamped envelopes (perfect touch alert!) and the ribbon - which is just tied in a knot and secured with a glue dot. What an easy way to built your stash of last-minute cards.

We Must Celebrate: Global Design Project 126 | Sketch Challenge

Hi Stampers! I have a crazy adorable card for you today! I just now you'll love it :).

To make this card, I was inspired by this week's Global Design Project which is a sketch challenge. You can see the sketch that was my inspiration below and click it to get more details.

I've been super excited to use my We Must Celebrate stamp set so that's what I decided to use for this card...and as soon as I saw the focal point of this sketch, I knew the Happy Birthday thinlet die would be just perfect!

I used my Stampin' Blends markers to color in those super cute critters, and I think they turned out great! I just love how these markers make shading so incredibly easy. I'm honestly not very good at shading when I color, but I don't have to worry about that when I use the Stampin' Blends. I used light and dark Crumb Cake on that bear.

For the raccoon and rabbit, I used light and dark Smoky Slate. For some details around the nose and tummy of the critters, I used dark Pink Pirouette.

This card might look a little intimidating, but I promise you can make one like it too! You can watch me create this card step-by-step in the video below.

Dimensions for card layers:

  • Whisper White Thick - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" (card base)
  • Whisper White -  5 1/4" x 4"
  • Stitched Oval framelet is the largest oval
